Hagerstown, MD—The Maryland Symphony Orchestra has announced the schedule for its 2013-2014 Kinder Konzerts Series. These concerts, which are designed for preschool children, introduce young listeners to the wonders of orchestral music and the instruments that bring the music to life. All concerts are free and open to the public and are held in the Kepler Theatre on the campus of Hagerstown Community College. Please note that the February 13 concerts will be held at South Hagerstown High School.
October 17: MSO Wind Quintet “Peter and the Wolf.” 9:30 am, 10:45 am & Noon.
November 21: Opera Cat. 9:30 am & 10:45 am.
January 16: MSO String Quartet. 9:30 am, 10:45 am & Noon.
February 13: MSO Percussion Ensemble. South Hagerstown High School.
9:30 am & 10:45 am.
March 20: MSO Brass Quintet “Brass Menagerie.” 9:30 am, 10:45 am & Noon.
April 10: Smithsburg High School Jazz Ensemble. 9:30 am & 10:45 am.
May 15: Smithsburg High School Orchestra. 9:30 am & 10:45 am.
