Cellist Jessica Albrecht is an active performer based in Maryland, currently serving as Assistant Principal Cellist of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra. In recent years, she has performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, and Baltimore Chamber Orchestra. She has performed with distinguished artists including Benjamin Grosvenor, Midori, and Leonidas Kavakos at the Kennedy Center, and has appeared with ensembles across the United States. Previous orchestral positions include Assistant Principal Cello in the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra and section positions with the Fort Collins and Cheyenne Symphony Orchestras.
Her performances span classical, contemporary, and popular genres, with appearances alongside Lynn Harrell, Michael Bublé, and Fathy John Misty. Jessica has been featured on recordings with Naxos, Arts Laureate, and Merrow Records, and has performed in festivals including the National Orchestral Institute and the Sid & Mary Foulger International Music Festival.
Jessica holds a Master of Music in Cello Performance from the Peabody Conservatory and a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from the University of Maryland.
