Nathan Clark is a trumpeter and teacher from Glen Rock, Pennsylvania. Nathan began his musical instruction on piano at age 6 and trumpet at age 9. He earned a degree in trumpet performance from the University of Maryland College Park in 2013 where he studied with Chris Gekker and Stephen Hendrickson. His other notable teachers include Don Tison, Tom Smith, and Tom Rolfs.
In 2001, Nathan joined the United States Air Force Band in Washington, D.C. where he performed with the concert band until 2006 and with the ceremonial brass until 2019. In 2019, Nathan joined “The President’s Own” U.S. Marine Band, where he is currently a member of the trumpet/cornet section.
Nathan has been privileged to perform in the National Symphony Orchestra, National Philharmonic, Washington National Opera, Barclay Brass, Apollo Orchestra, Fairfax Symphony, and Annapolis Symphony. He is also principal trumpet of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra.
