The Texas Tenors Return to The MSO

Hagerstown, MD—They won the hearts of over 100 million television viewers from around the globe to become the #1 vocal group in the history of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” and on Saturday, May 7, The Texas Tenors will be bringing their breathtaking vocals and Texas-sized charisma to Hagerstown for a return engagement with The Maryland Symphony Orchestra. The concert, to be held at the historic Maryland Theatre in downtown Hagerstown, will begin at 8 p.m.

Who would have thought that a country singer, a contemporary pop artist, and an opera singer, on stage at the same time, would cause such a frenzy? The trio had performed only a few times together before—on a whim—they auditioned for “America’s Got Talent.”

Now, five years after their phenomenal success on that show, The Tenors have taken their modern interpretation of country and classical music all over the world in over 1,000 concerts. Annually, they are booked for over 60 concerts in Branson, MO alone, where they continue to outsell some of the biggest names in show business.

The concert will be a blend of gospel, country, classical, standard, and Broadway favorites with a lot of humor and cowboy charm thrown in for good measure. The Texas Tenors take their music seriously, but never themselves. Weaving effortlessly from John Denver to Puccini to “West Side Story,” they take their audience on a musical ride from West Virginia to Italy to New York City, pausing between genres long enough to tell stories and smile for pictures. An evening with The Texas Tenors and the Maryland Symphony Orchestra promises to be one that the whole family will enjoy. For more information on the Tenors, go to www.thetexastenors.com
