"The Musicians Studio" to Feature Dr. James Lee III

HAGERSTOWN, Md. – January 31, 2022 – Dr. James Lee III will appear in the next installment of "The Musicians Studio" on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 6:00 PM streaming on Facebook LIVE and YouTube. Hailed as "A Gifted Young Composer," Dr. Lee's "Arukah Symphony" will receive its WORLD PREMIERE at the Maryland Theatre in February, performed by the Maryland Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, February 13 at 3:00 PM.

MSO Executive Director Jonathan Parrish will moderate this wonderful, interactive conversation with Dr. Lee about his musical background as well as his inspirations and influences. This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to hear from and engage with an amazing composer and friend of the orchestra.

This event is free of charge and will allow for questions and answers from the virtual audience.

"The Musicians Studio" is an educational outreach initiative of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra and features MSO musicians, guest artists, composers, and other prominent speakers to share their musical "stories" in a virtual, live streaming format. The interactive format allows for questions from viewers sent directly to the moderator and guest speaker.

The 2021-2022 concert season is presented by Antietam Broadband. Special thanks to Bowman Hospitality, our hospitality partner, and the Maryland State Arts Council for their additional support of the MSO concert season.
