The Maryland Symphony Orchestra Announces New Board Members
Hagerstown, MD…..The Maryland Symphony
Orchestra Board of Directors has announced the results of Board elections
held during the June 21 Annual Meeting. New board members elected
to a three-year term are: Ruth Anne Callaham, Brian Gaeng, Nancy Glen,
Kelley Castell, and James Woodward.
Re-elected to three-year terms are: Franklin P. Erck, III, Catherine
R. Gira, Ph.D., Charles Groh, James Hamill, Marjorie M. Hobbs, Alan
J. Noia, R. Kathleen Perini, Brad Pingrey, Susan Rocco, John M. Waltersdorf,
and Cassandra Wantz.
Elected to the Executive Committee for a one-year term are: James
Pierne, President; Brendan Fitzsimmons, Vice President/President Elect;
Paige Nitzell, Secretary; Brad Pingrey, Treasurer/Finance Chair; Spence
Perry, Assistant Treasurer; Cassandra Wantz, Artistic Advisory Chair;
Thomas Newcomer, Development Chair; Carolyn Brooks, Education Chair;
Marjorie M. Hobbs, Endowment Chair; Phil Kelly, Marketing Chair; John
M. Waltersdorf, Nominating Chair; Barbara K. Henderson, Personnel
Chair; Ed Lough and April Dowler, Members-at-Large; and Judy Ditto,
Guild President.
The Maryland Symphony Orchestra, now in its 23rd season, is the area
premiere professional orchestra dedicated to providing musical performances
and programs that educate and entertain while enhancing the cultural
environment of Western Maryland and the surrounding region.
