Maryland Symphony Orchestra Seeks Volunteers for 19th Annual
“Salute to Independence”
If your Fourth of July weekend celebrations
include attending the Maryland Symphony Orchestra’s “Salute
to Independence” concert, why not give a little of your time
and get a free commemorative T-shirt in return? The Maryland Symphony
Orchestra is looking for teenagers and adults to help at the annual
event, which will be held at the Antietam National Battlefield on
Saturday July 3rd. Volunteers are needed for one-hour segments between
4:30 and 7:30 p.m. and during the concert intermission. All volunteers
will receive a free T-shirt; high school students can also receive
community service hours.
There will be an orientation meeting for all volunteers on Tuesday,
June 29 at 7:00 p.m. at the Maryland Symphony Orchestra Office, 13
South Potomac St., Hagerstown, MD. Groups as well as individuals are
welcome. For additional information and to sign up contact Monica
Miller at 301-797-4000 or via email at AA@marylandsymphony.org
