Ensembles in Schools

The MSO helps area teachers enhance the learning experience by providing classroom concerts for elementary and middle school students. BrassWorks brings MSO Brass Quintet performances to Washington County children grade six.

The MSO String Quartet introduces elementary schools students in grades 1, 2, and 3 to stringed instruments with StringSounds.

The MSO Woodwind Quintet performs for children in grades 4 & 5 through WindWorks, the newest addition to the Ensembles in the Schools program.

 
The MSO is most appreciative of its special partnership with the Washington County Board of Education in bringing music education programs and initiatives to the students of Washington County, MD.  The MSO also greatly acknowledges all of our music education partners: the Washington County Board of County Commissioners, the City of Hagerstown, Hagerstown Community College, Hagerstown/Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Maryland State Arts Council, The Rotary Club of Hagerstown, The Rotary Club of Long Meadows Foundation, the Washington County Gaming Commission and the Maryland Symphony Orchestra Guild.
