Debbie Gravitte
One of Broadway’s biggest personalities,
Debbie Gravitte has enjoyed a varied career
that has taken her from the Broadway stage
to major symphony halls and theatres throughout
the world. She won the prestigious Tony
Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical
for her performance in Jerome Robbins’ Broadway,
along with a Drama Desk Award nomination and
New York Showstopper Award for that same show. After
making her Broadway debut in the original cast
of They’re Playing Our Song, she
went on to appear in Perfectly Frank (Drama
Desk Award nomination), Blues in the Night, Ain’t
Broadway Grand, Zorba, Chicago and Les
Miserables. She has also appeared
in the New York City Center’s Encores!
Productions of The Boys from Syracuse, Tenderloin and Carnival.
Jan Horvath
Jan Horvath was a member of the original Broadway
cast of The Phantom of the Opera with
whom she performed the roles of both Christine
and Carlotta. Other Broadway credits
include The Threepenny Opera (starring
Sting), Sweet Charity (directed by Bob
Fosse), Stardust and Oliver. In
addition to her Broadway credits, Ms. Horvath
sang the leading role of Grizabella in the
National Touring Company of Cats. Off-Broadway
credits include the Mother in Yoko Ono’s New
York Rock, Svetlana in the revised version
of Chess, and Jacques Brel is…Regionally,
Ms. Horvath has performed a variety of roles
including Eva Peron in Evita, Aldonza
in Man of La Mancha, Nellie Forbush
in South Pacific and Chairy Barnum in Barnum. She
sang on the soundtrack for the animated film Anatasia.
Anne Runolfsson
Anne Runolfsson is one of those rare artists whose unique versatility has allowed her a distinguished career not only in the theater but also in recording studios, intimate cabaret spaces and concert halls throughout the world. She recently completed a two year run on Broadway as the tempestuous diva, Carlotta, in Phantom of the Opera. Prior to that she served as understudy to Dame Julie Andrews and Liza Minnelli in Victor/Victoria and played the role to great acclaim over 120 times on Broadway. She then went on to recreate the role in the National Tour. Other Broadway and National Tour credits include: Gretta Conroy in James Joyce’s The Dead, Fantine in Les Miserables, Roxane in Cyrano—The Musical, Lili in The Secret Garden and Aspects of Love. She performed in Off-Broadway and Regional productions of Listen to My Heart, Rags, Jack’s Holiday, Cather County, A Little Night Music, Showboat and Funny Girl.
